POLITICS AS USUAL: Trump & The Stump

America is bombarded with emotions about this 2016 election. As I walked into work today my coworkers were overwhelmed with disappointment and personal opinion about the November 8, 2016 presidential election results. Everyone is making comments about things going back to the way they use to be, but my question is when did anything change?

Racism has never left, laws that impact urban community have not fluctuated, a majority of citizens are still living check to check and the police have never stopped killing black people. So again I ask what is so different now that Trump is in office this coming January? Is it the fact that he puts his shit right out on the table for everyone to see, or maybe because he openly manipulated the people to get what he wanted.

At the end of the day this plan for Trump is not the end all be all of life. Actually for the chosen ones that choose to no longer be sheeple now have even more of a reason to start new, leave the system and be free as desired, but instead people of all kinds are in a stump. They all of a sudden don’t know where to go or what to do.  Truth being told the financial monstrosity that this country, well, DC is facing is what everyone should concern themselves with because the citizens will be the ones picking up the debt as usual.

Granted we have an absolute fool representing and being the face of America, but on the other hand  maybe this is who America really is and who we have been as a country all along? We talk a good game about America the free being this great melting pot and nation but the truth is, are too many people dependent on the system, and not enough independent upon self.

How can we start to do more for ourselves? And what does that look like and feel like as a community of people?

For starters we can pay attention to our community officials and not the POTUS. These are votes that actually count sole on us get someone familiar with our community background and structure a plan to help us evolve as a community and not a entity. What that displays that we are all peers an not just individuals who won’t glorify a lifestyle but rather set tones that combine and make a rhythm like Education, Employment, Bountiful Families, Healthy Living and Small Businesses.
